Film Tip #3 - After The Festival?

Perhaps you too have always wondered what happens to films, documentaries, and/or shorts after they have been screened at the film festivals? Of course they should not go off into never land not to be seen again.

I got to thinking, scary I know, what can be done with the film?

In no particular order, here are some suggestions. You knew that was coming.

1. Distribution - how, well the how is for another tip - not like I'm thinking that hard right now
2. Sell - on your own website or another company's website
3. Screen online - your own website, or youtube, vimeo, viddler, or dailymotion, etc.
4. Soundtrack - could be under number 2, sometimes people want to know the name of a song and/or listen to the song again without waiting to read the credits
5. Stream - on-demand Internet streaming (like Netflix and others)
